The Jennie Foundation
Jennifer Christina LePera was our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Jennie was a normal high school student, not an athlete or star scholar, not wildly popular but not an outcast, and fiercely loyal to a small group of close friends. She was 16 years old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma. She battled the disease for 20 months, summoning strength and courage, showing wit and attitude. She made new friends, fans, and followers from around the world. We thought her to be indomitable, but in the end, the disease took her from us.
However, although she ultimately lost the battle, she is not beaten. Those of us who remain are now taking up her fight.
The Jennie Foundation, and this website, are dedicated to her memory.
