Meet Aubrey Shoup!

We are honored to introduce Ms. Aubrey Shoup, a student at the Culinary Institute of America, who was chosen by the chef-instructors and faculty at the CIA to receive the first Jennie Foundation Scholarship!

Aubrey is taking a double major in Management and Food Studies at CIA, where she is a Resident Assistant. She is currently working at two campus restaurants, The Tavern and The American Bounty. This award will help ensure she graduates on time and will allow her to begin her culinary career.

Joy visited the Hyde Park, NY campus today to deliver the award check in person to Advancement Officer Erin Decker, and to meet this impressive young lady. Aubrey has had to overcome many obstacles in her personal and scholastic life, and we are pleased to be able to help her complete her studies in July.

Congratulations Aubrey! As our first scholarship recipient, you will always have a special place in The Jennie Foundation story. You represent the fighting spirit Jen showed throughout her treatment, and we hope this quality will lead you to future success.

And, as always, we want to express our thanks and gratitude to our donors, who make our work possible!
