Jennie Day – May 2017

We got back to our original schedule for the May Jennie Day, which was held on the 15th of the month as usual.  Our meal for both the House and the hospital featured Chicken Vesuvio (recipe courtesy of The Food Network).  Sides for the House included steamed broccoli and homemade cherry pie, while the hospital enjoyed fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.  Along with the desserts, we were able to provide individually-wrapped milk chocolate squares, which were graciously donated by Gertrude Hawk Chocolates.

We were also able to make distributions to both the House and to the hospital’s Family Resource Center – details are in the Giving Back page.

This month marks 22 months since we lost Jen, and it seems like that time went by in a wink.  We are closing in on two years now.  We thank all our donors and supporters for helping us to keep Jen’s memory and spirit alive by doing good in her name.
