This month’s meal was sponsored by Scott and Kelly Bove and Family, who helped provide a very hardy meal of Italian Sausage and Tortellini for both the Ronald McDonald House families and for the families and staff of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital PICU and oncology wards.  For dessert we served homemade sour cream pound cake, and mini Oreo cheesecakes.  Thank you Scott and Kelly!

Thanks to your support, we were also able to sponsor the guest portion of a 10-day stay at the Ronald McDonald House, and provide toiletries bags, preemie clothing and gas and food gift cards to the MFCH Family Resource Center.

We also received a special request this month: a 13-month old girl who is undergoing treatment at MFCH, and who has been inpatient for about eight months, is just beginning to walk.  The Family Resource Center asked if we could provide a baby play mat for this little girl’s hospital room, to help her be safe in her room while she is taking her first steps.  We were pleased to provide a mat that can be put together in various shapes to fit the limited space inside these rooms.
