This month’s Jennie Day meal consisted of Spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic knots and salad, with cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. This month’s Jennie Day happened to fall on Father’s Day, and we saw a number of Dads in both the House and the Hospital. It’s easy to think that spending Father’s Day in the hospital with your child would be sad, and of course, sometimes it is. But when you’ve gotten good news about your child’s condition, or better, yet when you finally get a discharge date (or even discharged!), it can become ingrained in your memory as one of the best Father’s Days ever. This is why it’s so important to be able to support these families as they work to get their children through treatment successfully, We thank our donors for allowing us to continue this work in Jen’s name.
