The January Jennie Day Meal consisted of Italian Sausage, Peppers and Onions, Roasted Rosemary Potatoes, Salad, and homemade chocolate chip and frosted cookies for dessert. We’d like to thank Daniel Borine for his generous sponsorship of the January Meal, and Maureen Gaklik, who baked the beautiful (and delicious) frosted cookies.
The Newtown, PA Quilter’s Guild also donated a number of Birthday Cake Kits, consisting of cake mix, frosting, and candles in an aluminum baking pan, complete with cover. This is a clever and fun donation made by the creative folks at the Guild, and we thank them!
In addition to the meal, the Foundation provided the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley with a supply of assorted travel-size toiletries, in addition to sponsoring a 20-day stay. The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital received infant and preemie clothing for their NICU patients, and grocery and gas gift cards for patient families, and St Mary’s Hospital for Children received Walmart and Target gift cards, along with three packages of Kinetic Sand, which can be used by their young patients for both therapy and play.
We are also pleased to announce that our 2020 Jennie Day Meal program is now fully sponsored. If you would like to sponsor a meal in 2021, please visit https://a.jenniefoundation.org/meal-sponsorship/.
Once again, we’d like to thank our donors for making our work possible. The Jennie Foundation wishes everyone a happy and health New Year!
